Tuning into my radio...

As I sit in my meditation I start by setting my intention then off I go, focussing on my breathing and on my third eye. I acknowledge and then let go of thoughts that enter my mind and ask for all unnecessary noises to be blocked from disturbing me. This works a treat, occasionally I am aware of myself but not very much, then I'm gone again, in and out, but mostly out. I know I'm not snoozing or sleeping but I don't know where I go... This morning I set the intention that I would meet, see, feel, hear, smell my guides as though I was meeting them in the street, I set the intent that I would meet them so I now so that I would clearly recognise them any time. My meditation this morning was 55 minutes. I don't recall anything during the time I was 'gone'. Should I have knowledge or recollection of these times in meditation? Same with my hour long meditation yesterday.
